genKC to partner with Centurions Flights of Beer

Flights of Beer, the fourth and final information session hosted by Better KCI Ambassadors, is co-sponsored by two KC Chamber groups dedicated to young professionals. On Monday, October 30, genKC and Centurions expect to host more than 250 people at Boulevard Brewery’s Muehlebach Suite for a presentation by and time for QA with Joe Reardon, CEO/President, all while enjoying Boulevard beer.

Since July, Better KCI Ambassadors have put on “Flights of” events, making the business case for A Better KCI. The group has hosted two Flights of Coffee events and one Flights of Wine event with the goals of getting Kansas City’s young professionals talking about the future of KCI and building support for a new single-terminal design, an issue that will go before Kansas City, Missouri voters on November 7.

KCI — often the first and last impression visitors have of our community — will undoubtedly impact Kansas City’s ability to retain and to attract top young talent. Flights of Beer is an opportunity for people to network and learn about the future of KCI, an asset used by genKC board members and the employees of the companies we represent.

As co-chair of the Better KCI Ambassador committee, alongside Centurion Alumni Adam Gebhardt, it was clear to us that sponsoring a “Flights of” event was a great way to engage with our audience while working to raise awareness about a regional issue that will impact Kansas City’s young professionals, both personally and professionally, for decades.
