Centurions Manager

Position Reports To: Civic and Community Initiatives Department
The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce is seeking a full-time Centurions Manager in the Civic and Community Initiatives Department. The KC Chamber’s Centurions Leadership Program is a two-year program that explores the opportunities and issues of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The Centurions Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Program, including working with volunteers on events and activities, assisting in the implementation of community service projects, maintaining an operating budget, and coordinating communications including a weekly newsletter, social media accounts and event promotions.

The successful candidate will have strong writing, speaking and inter-personal skills.  He/she will be comfortable representing the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce in a variety of professional settings.  He/she will be organized and adept at handling a wide variety of projects simultaneously.

  • Staffing and supporting committees, budgets, programs, and volunteer management
  • Providing communications internally and externally with KC Chamber members and community partners
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Staffing events outside office hours
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
